To celebrate and honor the contributions our CPHA professional workforce makes to the equestrian industry. Awarded annually to the one equestrian (groom through trainer) judged to have performed the most heroic act on behalf of human or horse.
This individual will be chosen by the Board of Directors of the CPHA Foundation who will vote once a year (starting in 2005) to determine the recipient. Anyone may make an informal nomination to the Foundation throughout the year. Directors may nominate candidates based on conversations with industry professionals.
The winner of the "Equestrian Hero Award" will receive a special presentation certificate and a $250.00 cash award in a ring ceremony at a CPHA regional finals or finals event.
